The mold

All set to start pouring resin pendants tomorrow for this summers Stampede. I spent the day carving and squishing wax to create molds that would be used as a form for pouring resin jewelry pendants. The forms seemed to slide into the shape I wanted quite easily but they were not smooth enough for the forms. I heated up an element on the stove and used a cookie sheet as the flat surface I needed to melt the edges of the form. It took a few test runs but I figured out how to hold the forms so they would dry properly without drying with melt bubbles on parts of their surfaces. I love learning something new and pushing the brain to figure out the nuances of materials I am not familiar with.
