Mayor Nenshi & The Colour of the Harvest
A lifetime highlight today was meeting Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi and presenting him with one of my pieces of artwork from the installation #100
Colour of the Harvest
I an hour I get to present this to one of my favorite Calgarians!
The Red Barn
The Red Barn located at Claremont Farm. White milking barn & dairy parlour in background.
Back Forty
I love my outdoor studio space
today’s favorite tool… the square!
Today I created frames for the large sample pieces done for the restaurant installation. The *square* is the best tool in the universe. It is pretty difficult to make the frames out of 100 year old wood. It is sensitive to say the least. Shipping out tomorrow to NYC!
You Are Invited!
This Friday, July 13 from 11am – 1pm, I would love to invite you to Caffe Rosso on 8ave mall to view my Stampede commemoration piece #100. Each of the 100 art pieces (each 100 years old) has a story that links them to growing up on the Alberta prairie, my link to agriculture, my love for the city I call home and the Calgary Stampede. Hope to see you there!
