Turning into grandma Scarlett
As I am finishing #101mineral rights I think I am becoming my grandma. I was introduced to resin as a kid because grandma & grandpa made resin rock tables. This sculptural piece is inspired by the mineral rights they left for me, my siblings & cousins.
Final Framing
Doug has the saw out today in the sun and is finishing my framing for #ARP Western Showcase for this years Calgary Stampede.
Prairie Fossil – Time Capsule
#101 necklaces made from 100+ year old shingles from an old homestead in Alberta. Available for sale at the Calgary Stampede Artist Ranch Project in the Western Showcase.
Each piece has its own story. Images are mixed media and appear on the back of the shingle. With the front featuring the rough 100 year old weathered shingle. Finished with sterling silver findings and cable.
More framing
As more framing comes off the press, I get more & more excited for #CalgaryStampede 2013! #barnwood #art # mixedmedia
