Description
Ed’s Elevators is named for my Dad, Ed Scarlett, a passionate farmer from Central Alberta. Upon his death I decided to paint 78 grain elevators in his name to honour him and his life devoted to agriculture and community. After completing the first 78 images I decided to continue to paint the sentinels of the prairie to honour his inspiration.
This image is inspired by our gorgeous sunsets, especially prevalent in the late summer and fall in Alberta when the sky turns to magic.
