Description

Ed’s Elevators is named for my Dad, Ed Scarlett, a passionate farmer from Central Alberta. Upon his death I decided to paint 78 grain elevators in his name to honour him and his life devoted to agriculture and community.  After completing the first 78 images I decided to continue to paint the sentinels of the prairie to honour his inspiration.

This image is inspired by a trip to my home town grain elevator row in Innisfail, Alberta. The crazy bumpy ride included a trip to Independant Creameries for a delicious ice cream treat.
